So there’s this new film coming out this Friday… and it looks amazing! Well for me anyway. Priest is a film that seems to be just another vampire movie, perhaps a mix between the Blade trilogies [New Line Cinema] and The Sin Eater [Twentieth Century Fox], as well as borrowing elements from the recent film Daybreakers, which starred Ethan Hawke. Just from looking at the trailer, it is clear that this movie uses spectacular cinematography and stunning 3D graphics. The plot seems typical for the “Vampire” genre, involving a missing neice and a human out for supernatural vengence, creating mass murder, blood,guts and gore in his wake. You know, the usual stuff. For those who find this type of movie boring, look no further, but for an avid fan, it will be interesting if Priest can bring something new to this ever recycled genre.
